Testing at Homestead Motor Speedway – FARA-Sunset 500 Enduro and Sunday Sprints

Another great weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway

Despite 100 degree weather and scattered rain, we had a great weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway.  Pro driver Shane Lewis joined us and put forth a tremendous effort to not only coach but also get his hands dirty.  MGM’s newest team members, Lorenzo Romagosa, Sr. & Lorenzo Romagosa, Jr. had a very successful weekend driving the #4 car.  As always, Warren Cooper put in a solid weekend of racing his #101 car.  See more here.



Peter Collins and John Goetz head to “The Glen”

MGM’s Peter Collins (PCA’s 2012 GTC4 Season Chanpion) and John Goetz will be running in the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge at Watkins Glen. IMSA GT3 Cup is celebrating it’s 100th Race as a series during Sahlen’s Six Hours at The Glen. Good luck to Peter and John! MGM looks forward to seeing you at trackside.

Congratulations to Peter Collins – PCA GTC4 Season Champion 2012

Congratulations to MGM driver Peter Collins for earning the Porsche Club of America (PCA) GTC4 Season Championship!

Peter not only earned a season award … he also earned himself a place in PCA Club Racing history as this was the first ever PCA Club Racing Season championship! Peter Collins is an active PCA Club Member and is also a Nationally Certified PCA Driving Instructor. Congratulations once again Peter!



MGM drivers on the podium at PCA 48 Hours of Sebring

MGM started off the year on a postive note with several drivers earning podium finishes during the PCA 48 Hours of Sebring event.

Peter Collins and Warren Cooper both participated in the Sprint Races during the weekend. This was Peter’s first weekend in his new 2010 Porsche GT3 Cup car and it seems like the new pairing is a good fit.

The first Sprint race of the weekend featured 64 cars at the start. Peter finished 6th overall and 3rd in the GTC5 class. Warren finished 10th PIC in the GTC3 class.

More than 55 cars started the second Sprint race of the weekend. Peter finshed 5th place overall and improved a position to finish 2nd place in class in GTC5.

On Sunday, MGM drivers Warren Cooper and Denise Stubbs participated in the three hour Enduro. Known as the team  underdogs, Cooper and Stubbs stunned everyone with their podium finish at Daytona. They hoped to earn a podium again at Sebring. Despite encountering some technical difficulties during the race, they did just that! Cooper and Stubbs earned 3rd place in class in GTC3.



MGM heads to Sebring to begin the 2013 Season!

MGM will be participating in a full week of motorsports at Sebring. Starting on January 29 and 30 we will be running with the David Murry Track Days followed by the first PCA Club Race of the year – “The 48 Hours at Sebring” from January 31st to February 3rd. Tuesday starts the ALMS Winter Test  from the 5th to the 6th. We look forward to a competitive season. Come visit us in the paddock during the festivities.



MGM Takes Overall 1st Place at FARA’s Inaugural Miami 500 at Homestead

Congratulations to MGM drivers Gustavo Torres and Shane Lewis for winning FARA’s first international 500 km road race, the FARA Miami 500 at Homestead Miami Speedway!

MGM takes a third place for the Team and Driver in the 2012 IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge

A big congratulations on a great season to our team and drivers. When the dust cleared, Franck Silah took third place in the Gold Cup standings and MGM takes third in the team standings!

Consistent hard work, preparation and driving made it happen, way to go everybody!! Now that the 2012 IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge season is in the books we can now begin to focus on next years events! See final results.
