MGM was very excited about rounds 10 and 11 of the GT3 challenge held at Road America. It is a very exciting track with lots of History. MGM had team drivers Franck Silah and Gustavo Torres participating in the event. This was Gustavo’s first official event competing in the IMSA GT3 Challenge. The competition is very fierce but the drivers did a great job. In the first race, the guys started off 7th and 12th. They worked very hard focusing on driving their race and in the end, Frank and Gustavo, finished 4th and 8th respectively. It was a great finish for Franck and a great start to Gustavo’s IMSA GT3 career.
In the second race Franck and Gustavo started at in 6th and 9th on the grid. Both drivers had a great start and began to make their moves through traffic. Gustavo through the race starting to feel comfortable in the car, and as a result was able to consistently lower his lap times. Through their hard efforts, they ended up in 4th and 8th position giving MGM some very important points toward the team championship. These critical points were enough to move MGM up to third place in the team championship with 4 races left in the season. Franck secured his second “Hard Charger” award of the season. “Great job guys”
